Sint Maarten's Carnival - "Celebrating 50 years of LIFE!"

The year 2019 marks the 50th anniversary of St. Maarten. St. Maarten’s Carnival Village is a purposely-built carnival venue with in the center a concert stage surrounded by +/- 80 booths. During the Carnival these booths or little bars are transformed into mini restaurants or commercial outlets. At night all the booths remain open for the local and international concerts and offer various cuisine from the local St. Maarten dish to delicacies from Surinam, Trinidad, Dominica, India and Curacao. This is what makes the “Village” unique and unlike no other in the Caribbean!
